Post subject: CHI Flat Iron Types of Outdoor Luggage
you’re up for an adventure trip, part of the planning will involve choosing the luggage you should be carrying. Gone are the days when a large rucksack or awkward duffles were the only choices available to an adventurer. The outdoor luggage market is now inundated with bags that are both practical and stylish. Some of the more popular adventure luggage types include:
Rucksacks/Backpacks
: These ones never go out of style. A rucksack is the quintessential backpacker’s favorite bag that also goes by the name of a knapsack or a travel pack. Backpacks designed for the outdoors are a little more complex in design than the regular backpacks as they are built to carry a lot more load. They not only have a shoulder harness, but also a hip belt to provide comfort and balance to the mobile traveler. Depending on their size, these rucksacks can carry clothing and gear for trips lasting a weekend up to a month or longer.
Daypacks
: These are the more regular backpacks that are smaller in size (about 1800 to 2500 cubic inches) and used for day hikes. A number of large travel packs come with a removable daypack that can be used for short excursions, but they can also be bought separately. While fabrics like canvas can certainly be used to manufacture daypacks, the use of nylon or a blend of multiple fabrics adds toughness and durability to these bags.
Hydration Packs
: Hydration packs are essentially backpacks that are equipped with a hydration system that consists of a reservoir to store water or another liquid and a hose to drink it from without the use of hands. Hydration packs are becoming increasingly popular amongst adventure travelers of all hues including trekkers, day hikers, climbers, cyclists, snow boarders, etc.
Expedition Duffles
: Duffle bags have a long association with adventure

, but they’ve covered a vast ground from the typical cylindrical bag with one main compartment and shoulder straps. These days, several expedition duffles come with interior as well as exterior compartments, dividers and pockets as well as an expansion system for additional space to store your gear.
Innovations in design have also led to the creation of wheeled or rolling duffles and convertible duffles that can be carried as backpacks whenever you desire. Both these types of duffles make it convenient for the travelers to carry and transport their gear.
Wheeled Uprights
: Many outdoor enthusiasts now realize the convenience and practicality of wheeled uprights as outdoor luggage. Not to be mistaken for your typical rectangular suitcase with wheels, the rolling uprights designed for adventure travel are much more robust and rugged in terms of features

, looks, and functionality.
Panniers
: These are bags that can be attached to a bike or motorcycle. Made from nylon or other synthetic fabrics, panniers can be used for carrying equipment for long or short tours.
Now that you have a list of outdoor luggage to choose from, make sure you take the time out to find the right one for your next adventure. Invest in good quality, name brand adventure luggage if you want the best out of your excursion!
