Kobe Bryant Jersey “proud” of Bynum for his flagrant foul
Lakers guard
Kobe Bryant Jersey didn’t mince words when he spoke of his admiration for Andrew Bynum’s recent flagrant foul two on Minnesota forward Michael Beasley.
Bynum’s takedown of Beasley Friday night earned him a two-game suspension of the league without pay. It started Sunday in the Lakers’ narrow victory against Phoenix and will cost Bynum $249,090 in lost wages.
But
Kobe Bryant Jersey was happy with the action from the 7-foot, 285-pound Bynum.
“I’m proud of him,”
Kobe Bryant Jersey told the Los Angeles Times of Bynum. “He earned his stripes.”
According to reports from Minnesota, Bynum texted an apology to Beasley on the morning after the game.
The league’s bylaws indicates that suspensions for flagrant fouls are based on three factors: how hard the foul was, whether it led to an altercation, and the degree of injury sustained by the player who was fouled.
Lakers general manager Mitch Kupchak thought that Bynum’s penalty too harsh.
“I am surprised it was two games,” he said. “I thought if anything it would be one game. I thought [the penalty] was excessive.”
The Lakers will play Phoenix Tuesday night. Lamar Odom likely will slide into their starting lineup in Bynum’s place for the second straight game.
But
Kobe Bryant Jersey’s admiration of Bynum’s foul is particularly noteworthy.
