The Calgary Stampede namely one event that's been sprinting since 1886 - and lays claim to The Greatest Outdoor Show On Earth.
We get probably half a million visitors in to Calgary during the 10 daytime event (which is prodigious since Calgary is 1 million people- we join 50% of our population in 10 days).
Get this, the absolute take family winnings from the Stampede Rodeo is a whopping $1.6 Million - which is immediately the largest medal winnings of any circus in the world, from my understanding.
You'd naturally must pay me well to sit ashore a bucking bull! $1.6M would almost do it ;o)
What would make people travel from bring an end to ...the world to see the Stampede?

1) An year event like no other - there are rodeos all overthe world - yet Calgary has a 1 million USD rodeo purse so this is NOT like all the others. People look inward to the Stampede for months to come. The best Rodeo stars from cross the world gladly come to Calgary to fight for the main prize.
Make your special memorabilia special - and someone worthwhile coming to.
2) The customers "obtain into it" favor no where else in the world. Imagine this... Thursday night before the party begins on Friday you quit your bureau all dressed in suit and knot (I remember it well - uhhgg). Friday a.m. - everyone from the corporate CEO's right to the mail clerks wear up in their western attire (caps, boots, strap buckles [link widoczny dla zalogowanych], and jeans). And they linger that path for the entire 10 days.
