Expo Central China 2009 was held on April 26-28, 2009 in Hefei Exhibition & Conference Center. Despite the negative impact imposed by the global financial crisis, the number of people present in the Expo reached as high as 16,000. Altogether there were 300 world top-500 companies and large-size transnational companies taking part in the Expo, including Cummins, Boeing, Carrefour, IBM,[link widoczny dla zalogowanych], Tesco, etc. More than 160 China top-500 companies and leading companies of different industries as well as a large number of well-known private entrepreneurs, 100 leaders of overseas Chinese and 80 well-known foreign associations also attended the Expo.
